Vibration Testing

To anchor analytical predictions, obtain data for troubleshooting, or simply verify acceptable operation, DynaTech can obtain the vibration signature from all types of rotating equipment. We have tested over 100 machines, from 15 to 3000 HP, including pumps, compressors (both centrifugal and reciprocating), steam and gas turbines, generators, motors, and gearboxes, operating from 30 to over 50,000 rpm.

Testing Services Offered • Review and development of vibration specifications and limits • Generation of vibration test plans, including required instrumentation, location, and operating conditions • Specification and installation of measurement sensors, including accelerometers, proximity probes, strain gauges, and other types of dynamic instrumentation • On-site vibration data acquisition, using dynamic signal analyzers with accelerometers capable of measurements from 0.5 to 20,000 Hz or other suitable sensors • Analysis and characterization of vibration data, from FFT or time history information, to diagnose machinery faults • Rapid and comprehensive reporting of test results, including correlation to analytical predictions when available
